13s  Middle Blocker

12s- 2 teams. Need 2 players, Hitting Positions.

If you cannot attend tryouts, please contact Madeline Kazmann at madeline@magicvolleyballclub.com to get information about possible alternatives to get evaluated.  Some evaluations possibly can be made early during camps or privately. 

The tryout fee is $65 

Instructions for Tryouts

1. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your tryout time to check-in, get your tryout number, stretch, and be ready to begin on time. Make sure to indicate which team you will be trying out for as well as position.
2. The first part of the tryout will consist of skills session, and following the skills session will be 45 minutes to an hour of competitive drills and scrimmaging.
3. A list will be posted, at the conclusion of tryouts, for those players who have been offered a spot on a team.
4. If a player decides to accept a position on the team please, be prepared to leave a deposit of $500-$700 to secure your spot (Deposit amount depends on which team you are chosen for, please refer to payment schedule page). If you choose not to accept your position, your spot will be offered to an alternate. The deposits are NON refundable.
5. There will be a brief meeting after tryouts for players selected and their parents, to review and sign the season contract committing to Magic Volleyball Club for the 2023-2024 season.  We will be able to give you more detailed team and season information at the Parent and 1st team meeting in September.

How do I know what age group I should try out for? How old will you be on July 1, 2024? That is the age group that you tryout for. Age definitions are also listed below.

AGE CLASSIFICATION FOR THE 2023-2024 SEASON

18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year

17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 OR  Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 (18 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eleventh grade (11th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate at the USA Junior National Championships on 17 and under teams. 

16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007

15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008

14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009

13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010

12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011

11 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012

10 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013
